I am an experienced Greek language teacher and a lifelong learner.

I have excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written communication, professional yet friendly body language, and the ability to really listen. I have a very good understanding on the needs of the students according to their age, culture, ability, and learning style. I have experience in teaching Greek to students from all over the world, face to face in Athens and in Santorini island and online.

I am an enthusiastic person creating a comfortable learning environment for the students.

Experience :

I have been a teacher of the Greek language as a second language at Hellenic Culture Centre since 2014 in Athens and in Santorini island. I have taught students from all over the world, face to face and online and a volunteer teacher to immigrants and refugees at the intercultural school “Bridges” at Kypseli in Athens since 2010.

I am respectful of the intelligence and integrity of the learner who is to be assisted but not directed. I learn from my students, observing the informal ways they seek to acquire a foreign language, to meet their needs. I encourage my students to find their own way and pace, working on important psychological aspects and encouraging their creative work, minimizing the teachers’ role. Each lesson plan is being formed for each student individually. I use original texts from newspapers and literature simplified on the students's level, so even a beginner starts with real texts. Lessons are based not only in verbal and written comprehension, speaking and writing but also in the cultural and intercultural elements of the Modern Greek life, always following subjects on the student's preferences and hobbies.

Eίμαι καθηγήτρια της ελληνικής γλώσσας ως δεύτερης/ξένης γλώσσας με πολλά χρόνια εμπειρίας αλλά και μία δια βίου μαθήτρια.

Έχω άριστες επικοινωνιακές δεξιότητες, τόσο στην προφορική όσο και στη γραπτή επικοινωνία. Χρησιμοποιώ επαγγελματική αλλά συνάμα φιλική γλώσσα του σώματος, και έχω την ικανότητα να ακούω πραγματικά. Έχω πολύ καλή κατανόηση για τις ανάγκες των μαθητών ανάλογα με την ηλικία, τον πολιτισμό, τις ικανότητές τους και τον τρόπο εκμάθησης. Έχω εμπειρία στη διδασκαλία της ελληνικής γλώσσας σε μαθητές από όλο τον κόσμο, στην Αθήνα, στη Σαντορίνη και online.

Εμπειρία :

Είμαι καθηγήτρια της ελληνικής γλώσσας ως δεύτερης/ξένης γλώσσας στο Κέντρο Ελληνικού Πολιτισμού από το 2014 έως σήμερα, στην Αθήνα, την Σαντορίνη και διαδικτυακά με μαθητές από όλον τον κόσμο.

Επίσης διδάσκω από το 2010 εθελοντικά σε πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες στο διαπολιτισμικό σχολείο "Γέφυρες" στην Κυψέλη, με το πρόγραμμα του Δήμου Αθηναίων "Ανοιχτά Σχολεία".

Σέβομαι τις νοητικές ικανότητες και την προσωπικότητα του μαθητή και στηρίζω την μαθησιακή διαδικασία συμβουλευτικά και όχι καθοδηγητικά. Μαθαίνω από τους μαθητές μου παρατηρώντας τους άτυπους τρόπους που επιδιώκουν να μάθουν μια ξένη γλώσσα για να καλύψουν τις ανάγκες τους. Ενθαρρύνω τους μαθητές μου να βρουν τον δικό τους δρόμο και ρυθμό, λαμβάνοντας υπ' όψιν τις σημαντικές ψυχολογικές πτυχές τους και ενθαρρύνοντάς τους στο δημιουργικό τους έργο, ελαχιστοποιώντας τον ρόλο μου ως εκπαιδευτή. Κάθε μάθημα διαμορφώνεται ειδικά για κάθε μαθητή ξεχωριστά. Χρησιμοποιώ πρωτότυπα κείμενα από εφημερίδες και λογοτεχνία απλοποιημένα στο επίπεδο των σπουδαστών, οπότε και ένας αρχάριος ξεκινάει με πραγματικά κείμενα. Το μάθημα βασίζεται όχι μόνο στη προφορική και γραπτή κατανόηση, την ομιλία και τη γραφή, αλλά και στα πολιτιστικά και διαπολιτισμικά στοιχεία της σύγχρονης ελληνικής ζωής, ακολουθώντας πάντα στα μαθήματα τις προτιμήσεις και τα χόμπι του μαθητή.
