I am a native English teacher who specializes in IELTS preparation as my main job. I am also a single parent of two, my son is 12 and my daughter is 8 years old. I live in Vietnam and am raising my kids here close to their family. I enjoy socializing, reading and watching films. I also enjoy helping those that need to improve their English skills.

I enjoy reading fiction and watching movies. I also enjoy cycling when it's not too hot outside. I am a computer nut who loves computer problems whether they are software or hardware related.

I was born in England and moved to Canada when I was 12 years old. Because I was raised speaking UK English and then grew up around US English, I understand the differences very well. I have a TESOL teaching certificate from Toronto. Canada that was issued to me in 2009. I have also taught at private language centers for the past 8.5 years but actually prefer online lessons.

I am a native speaker who primarily teaches IELTS preparation for the speaking test but I also give a lot of help with writing through correction and helping with suggestions.I have been doing this online for over 8 years. However, I also give general lessons for conversation with correction of course. I can also help you with your CV or presentations as well, of course.

My approach to the IELTS preparation is quite simple. First we have a demo and you answer some test questions and we assess your level of English. Then we discuss which level your writing is at and develop a strategy. Most of my students are preparing to take the test or have already taken the test but want a higher score. You will be given a list of questions to prepare from which are actual questions from the IELTS exam and I expect you to prepare for each lesson you have with me. When you prepare for the IELTS it is essential for you to practice your answers to the topic questions by reading aloud (not in your head). It is also best to write as much as possible for practice so I can help you improve your level. For the writing tasks, you will email them to me and I will make corrections and suggestions. Then during our lesson we will be able to discuss any changes made to your writing if you need clarification.

For General conversation we ask and answer each other's questions with correction. We develop a strategy for your lessons and decide what kind of books you may need to help you with sentence structure and improve your vocabulary..
