Owen MacEntee : English

Hi, my name´s Owen. I´m a 25 year old Englishman currently living in Spain. I´m an English teacher and have been teaching for over 2 years.

In my spare time I enjoy socialising, going to the beach, hiking, reading and writing. I´m a fun person who spends a lot of time laughing. I´m generally a very sociable person but, like everyone, I need time alone and I use this time to practise my writing skills. I´m a huge music fan as well: I love classical, jazz, funk, hip hop, folk, soul, flamenco and many more types of music. I´m also a massive comedy fan and love a good joke more than anything else.

I have the CELTA qualification from Teaching House, Tottenham Court Road, London. I also have more than two years experience teaching in English schools in Spain. I have taught students from as young as 6 until as old as 91 and from the A1 level until the C2.

As a teacher, I believe I have a unique style. I take my job very seriously but I always want to have fun and so I have an informal style of teaching. I like to use comedy, poems, books and films in my lessons to make the lesson enjoyable for my students. This also helps the student learn natural English rather than `textbook English´. However, if a student wants to take a formal English exam, I´m more than capable of adjusting my lessons to suit their needs.
