First of all, I'm very glad that you get interested in Japanese and thank you for visiting my page.
I was born and grew up in Japan and I am a native Japanese speaker. I currently live in the U.S.
I majored in English at my university and took a coursework for "teaching Japanese to foreigners" as a minor subject.
I believe learning languages means a lot for our lives.
I hope to share my cultural experience and knowledge with you through teaching Japanese.
I used to work at a junior high school in Japan as an English teacher(please don't judge that I'm fluent) .
Now I work as an after school teacher at an elementary school and do Japanese tutor job on weekends in person and virtual tutor through Verbalplanet when I have time.
( I'm just doing a virtual tutor because of corona virus now April 2020)
I love to teach and chat. I like traveling, eating, playing with my cat, and watching Detective Conan which is Japanese anime.
I think I'm good for younger students or beginners, but I also have experiences teaching intermediate and advanced level students. I used to work at a company as a business woman before I became a teacher, so I can teach you business expressions too.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss what you want to learn or practice.
Thank you for reading. I hope to see you soon (^^)

I use English and Japanese for teaching at first, but I will gradually stop using English once you learned enough expressions.
I ask the same questions every time until you get confident about answering the question because I believe repeating is a key to master languages.
For beginners, I teach expressions and grammars using the materials I made, then have some exercise using a textbook.
If you are a visual learner, I think you will like the materials. I will send what you learned after the lesson so that you can review and practice by your self.
Also, I can give you assignments if you want. I will still ask you to review the contents from the lesson even though you don't ask me to give you assignments!
For intermediate or advanced students, please just tell me what you want to learn or practice. The lesson plan will be different depending on the students needs.
I made a video to explain final ending particles. If you like studying through anime, it's a good one!.
