My name is Yasser Ahmed, I am Egyptian. I know English well and I speak a bit of French.
I graduated from the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Minia University, a faculty specializing in the teaching of Arabic and Islamic studies.
I have been teaching Arabic as a second language since 2009, and so I have a good experience in this field. I have taught many students from beginners to advanced (children to adults), so I know exactly the needs of my students, the difficulties that might confront them and how to help them to overcome these difficulties.
Firstly: my qualifications
1- a bachelor degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Minia University, Egypt. Obtaining this certificate requires studying Arabic through: grammar, literature, literary criticism and linguistics. This enables graduates to teach Arabic in a professional and profound manner.
2- a master degree in Islamic studies from Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Minia University.
3- a phd degree in Islamic studies from Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Minia University.
Secondly: my experience
1- From 2009-2011 I worked as an Arabic teacher for non-native Arabic speaker in Al Esbah teaching Arabic center, Alexandria, Egypt.
2- From 2011- 2018 I worked as a professor assistant in the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Minia University, Egypt, where I used to teach Arabic grammar to the Egyptian students.
3- From August 20018 - till now: I work as a university doctor where I teach mainly Islamic studies.
4- From 2015 - till now, I resumed teaching Arabic as a second language online in my free time after university.
During our first session I will evaluate your Arabic level and ask you why you are studying Arabic. Then I will give you the learning materials that suit your level and meet your needs. In our lessons we will focus on the four skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing. If you know Arabic reasonably well and want to study a particular aspect of the language such as literature, grammar, or the media, I would be more than happy to help you with that. Before every session, I will prepare the lesson to meet your needs and I will give you the full chance to participate and practice what you learn.
In my opinion, studying Arabic – as any other language - is a long process that requires patience and perseverance. However, you don't need to wait for ages to see the results. In fact, with regular, and goal-oriented study, your Arabic will improve steadily week after week and month after month.
