Hi everyone,
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Michael (born and raised in the United Kingdom) and I've been teaching English (as a second language) at secondary school level for the past fifteen years.
I moved into teaching after my time at university where I studied English Language with emphasis on English literature. Whilst studying at university I also worked as a mentor helping first term university students learn study techniques and revision practices. I also hold a TEFL teaching certificate.
My time working in schools has been very enjoyable but now I wish to specialise in online teaching. I already have a few years experience of teaching English online working with the Chinese and Russian markets. Russian market focusing mostly on business English and IT.

With my degree I started teaching English (as a second language) at secondary school level and have been working with this for the past fifteen years. As time has passed I have become more interested in the way modern technology can be used within language teaching and through this I have drifted more towards online English teaching. I now have experience from both the Chinese and Russian markets.
Within the English language I can cover most areas, everything from general to business, and exam preparation.

During an online lesson I focus on communication and oral practice. The online time is valuable for oral practice, written work and reading can be set as a homework. Most of my students favour this way to build lessons.
Learning a language continues even after a lesson has been completed.
