Hej! My name is Juliette and I am 23 years old and currently living in Italy, but originally from Sweden. I grew up in a multicultural family, and have had the privilege to learn about multiple languages and cultures.
I love to travel and have spent months abroad exploring new cultures and ways of living, and that's also something I put into value in my way of teaching.
I strongly believe that it should be fun to learn a new language, and that it is something that anyone can do. You just have to find the right method for you, and that's why my lessons are personalized for each student's needs.
I've been volunteering as a Swedish teacher for asylum seekers in my hometown with focus on basic level of speaking and understanding of the Swedish culture and system. I've also done private grammar classes.
I've been working as an English teacher in Thailand, teaching girls of the ages 12-17. We had a big focus on how to converse, but also on grammar and cooking classes using the English language. I was also a volunteer in the temple teaching seniors very basic English phrases.
Here in Italy I've been doing personalized private English classes for children.
As I said before, it has to be fun to learn! From my own experience learning a new language, this is the key for keeping the interest and willingness alive.
Even if your grammar isn't correct from the beginning, that is always something that you can correct later on. The first step is to build the confidence to start talking, because that's when you really start learning.
