I'm a Finnish language teacher. I have lived in Italy over 20 years with my family. A long time ago I graduated from a Finnish university with political science as my major. Then when my children were small, I worked several years and I'm still working as a freelance translator. Then a friend of mine suggested to start teaching and now I have taught Finnish and English for almost 10 years.

In my free time I do Nordic walking to keep me fit and I write my own blog in Finnish about my life in Italy.

I'm a mother tongue Finnish teacher. I have taught Finnish both to groups and private students. To improve my teaching skills, I have done a 120-hour TEFL course in English, because there is no equivalent for the Finnish language. Furthermore I have attended a course "Trainer of the Italian language and culture to foreigners".

At the moment I teach several private students and then one group of business people.

As an English teacher I have worked at schools (preparation courses for Cambridge exams) and in companies (Business English courses). Then I have several private students that study English with me.

For me it is important my students learn to use the language and I always try to make sure that my lessons are interesting and entertaining- I believe that people learn better when they have fun while learning.
