Hello. I'm Mary Jane. I help adults and children improve their English speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. I can also help you reduce your accent so you are better understood and sound more like a native English speaker. Each of my students feels comfortable working with me and their confidence grows with each lesson.
I am an American living in the United States. I have travelled all around the world. Why? Because I enjoy meeting people and learning about their worlds. I am fun, organized, creative and diligent.
I also enjoy technology, making soap, reading, crafting and bicycling.

I love teaching English to both adults and children. My lessons are personalized, organized, and fun. My students always feel comfortable and find the time goes by quickly. They enjoy learning with me because I am a fun teacher.
During the first lesson, we will identify exactly what you want to improve and I will design your personalized lessons accordingly. If you would like, I offer activities to do after each lesson that we can discuss in the next lesson, such as watching brief videos or reading articles online.
I am a certified accent reduction instructor and can help you sound more like a native English speaker. I will help you pronounce sounds in English that are difficult for speakers of your language. Our aim is to have your pronunciation be as clear and understandable as possible so that people can understand you and it will be easier for you to understand them.
As a qualified English teacher, I can also help you improve your grammar skills, increase your vocabulary, and teach you phrasal verbs.
I can also help you prepare to pass IELTS, TOEFL, FCE and other internationally recognized English proficiency tests, have successful job interviews, give great presentations, and, I can proofread your writing in English. I can work with your school age children during the pandemic.
