As this was the first lesson, Christiane took the time to explain the different methods we can use. It was great to try a number of different things to get an idea of what will work. I'm looking forward to our next lesson.

My name is Christiane, I am a French speaking native and have been living in the USA for 26 years.
I enjoy languages, reading, traveling, the beach, bike riding, tennis, nature and a lot more. I have just published a book to learn French: Médor, un chien français, and it's available on amazon.com.
Qualifications & Experience
I grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, (next to the French border). I took several language classes in German, English and Italian. I always liked languages and went to a school in London and then in California. I spent 10 years in the German part of Switzerland, working as a computer operator, then 2 years in California and 24 years in the Tampa Bay area, in Florida. I taught French to my 18 year old son who speaks French fluently and I have been teaching French locally and online for many years.
Teaching Approach
On our first lesson, we will discuss the way you want to learn and what your goals are. I am very flexible, so don't hesitate to contact me, so together we can talk about what you are trying to accomplish. From my own experience, I know what it's like to learn a language!

Je m'appelle Christiane, je suis de langue maternelle française, et vis depuis 26 ans aux Etats-Unis. C'est à Genève que je suis née et ai passé toute mon enfance. J'ai suivi plusieurs cours de langues, allemand, anglais et italien. J'ai toujours aimé les langues, et suis allée dans une école à Londres et ensuite en Californie. J'ai habité 10 ans en Suisse allemande, où je travaillais comme opératrice sur ordinateurs; puis 2 ans en Californie et 24 ans en Floride, dans la baie de Tampa. J'ai appris le français a mon fils, qui a maintenant 18 ans et qui est bilingue. J'enseigne le français en privé localement et en ligne depuis plusieurs années.
