It was t a free lesson as there wasn't enough time even though we were only 10 minutes late connecting, there was only 8 minutes left time wise. I have had to pay for my first lesson next week with Minela who seems very nice.
My name is Minela Kerla and I have nine years experience in teaching in foreign languages. I have taught Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian for five years in schools and centres.
Since 2012 onwards I have been an on- line language tutor for Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian and English.
Also, I worked at the University of Sarajevo as an Expert Associate in the Education Research at the Methodology Department.
Qualifications & Experience
I have one years experience in teaching research methodology at University.
Faculty of Philosophy (BA of Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language and literature) and Pedagogical Faculty.
MA degree in Education and Language teaching
I speak Bosnian (Native), Serbian (Fluent), Croatian (Fluent), English (Fluent) and I am currently learning Turkish (Beginner) Italian (Beginner) and German (Beginner).
Teaching Approach
I employ different methodologies and approaches to teaching:
Audiolingualism, computer assisted language learning, checking-homework challenge, encouraging students to speak as much as possible, neuro-linguistic programming and crossing cultures.
Teaching approaches:
Task-based learning, using L1 in class, the grammar-translation method, the communicative classroom.
