Hi, I am Stefanie and a passionate German teacher. I've been teaching German for more than 7 years (in English and Hebrew) and I am qualified by the "Goethe Institute". My approach is to work on each student’s individual key points to gain the most success.

I am working with students of all ages (starting at 16) and levels (from beginners to advanced students, fulfilling all levels' requirements, including literacy) and I absolutely enjoy to give my students an understanding of the beauty which the German language offers.

I've been working as a German teacher (DaF) in public and private language schools as well as giving individual private lessons for eight years now, and started to teach online for four years. My qualification as a German teacher is certified and internationally approved by the "Goethe Institut."

For my work, it's important to me to meet the needs of every student. My lessons are planned individually for each student and each class and include, for instance, grammar, pronunciation, spelling, etc. It is of great importance to me that the material and topics learned in my lessons can really be understood and enable the students to produce communicative acts outside of the classroom environment.

Through my language skills in English and Hebrew, I can also teach German in these languages, if this is desired. Also, these skills give me the opportunity to put myself in the position to understand the problems which are related to language learning.

Each lesson is divided into the following areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing if not wished otherwise. The student can choose special topics and I determine the study goal for the together with my students. I do not use any standard textbook, but try to choose the course materials to the student's level and needs.

During class, we can work together on a Google-docs document or by the screen option of Skype.

mein Name ist Steffie und ich arbeite seit acht Jahren als Deutschlehrerin (öffentliche Schulen, privaten Sprachschulen und Privatstunden). Ich bin international vom Goethe Institut als Deutschlehrerin lizenziert (DaF Methodik und Didaktik). Bis jetzt habe ich mit allen Altersgruppen (online nur ab mind. 16 Jahren) und entsprechenden Anforderungen (inklusive Alphabetisierung) gearbeitet.

Bei meiner Arbeit ist es mir wichtig, auf die Bedürfnisse eines jeden Schülers einzugehen. Ich plane und gestalte meinen Unterricht individuell für jeden Schüler und beinhalten beispielsweise Aspekte wie Grammatik, Aussprache, Rechtschreibung usw.

Es liegt mir außerdem sehr am Herzen, dass der Stoff in meinem Unterricht wirklich verstanden werden kann und die Schüler dazu befähigt, Deutsch selbstständig außerhalb des Klassenzimmers verwenden zu können

Durch meinen eigenen Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch und Hebräisch kann ich Deutsch auch auf diesen Sprachen unterrichten, wenn dies gewünscht wird und mich entsprechend auch in die Problematiken des Sprachenlernens hineinversetzen.

Jede Unterrichtsstunde ist in folgende Bereiche aufgeteilt: Sprechen, Hören, Lesen und Schreiben, wenn dies nicht anders gewünscht wird. Es können natürlich eigene Schwerpunkte gewählt werden und die Lernziele werden zusammen mit jedem Schüler erarbeitet. Ich benutze kein Standartlehrbuch, sondern versuche die Unterrichtsmaterialien dem Niveau und Bedürfnissen meiner Schüler entsprechend auszuwählen.

Im Unterricht kann zusammen in einem google-docs-Dokument oder durch die Bildschirmfuktion von Skype, gearbeitet, geschrieben und Texte korrigiert werden.
