Hi and thank you for viewing my profile. I was born in England and my mother tongue is English. I grew up in Hong Kong and still travel there regularly. I studied English Literature & Language at University and then qualified to be a lawyer in the UK and Hong Kong.
Since becoming a mother, I no longer practice law and have instead concentrated on teaching English from home. I love travelling and meeting people.
I have a BA Hons degree in English & Linguistics from the University of Portsmouth. I have a PCLL in Laws from the University of Manchester & Hong Kong. I have studied TEFL online.
I have coached students studying IGCSE English and Language. I have taught children and adults for many years and really enjoy it. I have taught many different nationalities.
I have plenty of experience learning languages also, so I understand the needs and challenges of foreign language students.
I have recently coached students through the GED examinations with a 100% pass rate.
My teaching approach is friendly and patient. My aim is to keep lessons positive and constructive. I really enjoy offering my students the opportunity to practice their conversation skills. I always try to keep lessons fun and relevant to a student's needs and level. I think its important to cover reading, writing, speaking and listening. Lessons will be individually tailored to your requirements.
I can also help with correcting work and proofreading etc. I also look after social media accounts for clients who are not English native speakers.

I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you.
If you want to just have a chat to practice your English over a coffee, thats also fine - the classes can be as relaxed as you want them to be.
