My name is Jamie Galatas and I have travelled to over 58 different countries. I am an experienced, professional and certified ESL Instructor [CELTA qualified] who has been teaching for over 16 years in Asia. I am a firm believer that education is an important investment in a person's future. I enjoy working closely with students to improve their English skills and realize their goals.
I am diligent, well-prepared and professional in my work duties and clearly the results have been successful for the students and the company. Every year, I have won the Best Teacher Award at different schools.
My main focuses have been teaching business to university / adult students, preparing students for overseas study / immigration, job interviews, and also for test preparation such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, SAT and GRE. I have been teaching a range of different class sizes ranging from middle size groups (20-30 students), small groups (3-5 students) and one-to-one. I have also completed a Diploma of Education and training.
I have a large repertoire of materials that can be used and which are continually updated. My tailored lessons focus on student needs and target areas which are relevant and that they wish to improve.
