If you are reading this, it should be because learning or keeping up with Spanish has just come to your mind. For this reason, I congratulate you! Spanish language is one of my biggest passions and I feel really lucky as I have had the opportunity to turn my passion into a full-time job.

But first... Let me introduce myself!

I am Laura, a Spanish 31-year-old girl. Although I have lived my whole life in Spain, I have been teaching Spanish daily from my home to people from around the world for the last three years: the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Hong Kong, Australia...!

Thus, thanks to my job, I have been able to combine Spanish with my interest of getting to know new people and cultures. Also, I feel very passionate about various forms of art, such as music, literature, photography, fashion... and travelling, both, virtually, from my screen, and literally, in real life!

Finally, I should not forget to mention who is with me on my profile photo... May, my English cocker spaniel doggie! She always supports each and every one of my students, day after day at our office!

From a very young age, I was totally sure that my biggest passions were languages and their teaching. Therefore, once I completed compulsory education, I decided to move on to the Humanities field:

- Humanistic High School (2009) and Humanistic University Access (2009).

- University Degree in Modern Languages (Bilingual: English + Spanish) at the University of Barcelona (2013).

- University Master's Degree in Teacher Training at the University of Zaragoza (2014). (This Master is the official Master in Pedagogy that allows to teach in Spain at the following levels: Secondary Education and Specialized Academies.

During my studies, I initiated my job expertise in the educational field. While still studying in the university, I had internships at a Secondary Education school. Thanks to this experience, I realized that the truth was that I was not really enjoying big group lessons, but that I was extremely happy whenever I had the opportunity to teach individual lessons. The reason is that at individual lessons is where I am really able to offer a high quality individualized instruction and to connect with each of my students, offering a quality service at the same time that a personalized and adapted teaching experience, adapted to their needs and interests.

At present, I am focused on being a private online teacher for Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have a unique opportunity to work with students from almost every part of the world, each of them being diverse: kids, teenagers, adults, students, professionals, amateurs...But each of them with a common denominator: their passion to improve their eloquence in Spanish day by day. And, this is what makes my work thrilling and truly challenging.

My teaching approach depends completely on my students: their level, their aims, their unique needs, their preferences... So, the student is the one that decides how lessons are going to be.

However, I like to guide and to advice my students in their learning process and, since their very first day, I try to offer the proper tools: vocabulary lists, grammar materials, reading and listening activities, videos... Everything so that the student could start to practice what they are learning, not just memorizing grammar and vocabulary, but seeing everything in real contexts and having to answer properly.

Thus, my materials and my lessons are adapted to each one of my students. For this reason, regarding your profile as a student, I assure you that there are no limits: previous knowledge, age, time for studying... Because my teaching approach is going to be exclusively adapted to your needs.

Finally, I would like to mention my experience in preparing for official exams, like DELE, SIELE, GCSE and A levels.

Pero primero... ¡Permíteme que me presente!

Así, gracias a mi trabajo, he podido unir la lengua española con mi interés por conocer diferentes culturas y personas. Además, me apasiona el arte en sus diferentes manifestaciones: la música, la literatura, la fotografía, la moda... ¡Y viajar dentro y fuera de la pantalla!

Y, por último, no puedo olvidarme de mencionar a quien me acompaña en la fotografía... ¡May, mi perrita cocker spaniel! ¡Siempre acompañando a mis estudiantes día a día en nuestra oficina!

Desde muy temprana edad, estaba segura de que mi gran pasión eran las lenguas y su enseñanza. Tenía muy claro que quería ser una profesora de español pues me encantaba hablar y compartir mis conocimientos con otros, así que, ¿qué más podía pedir de una profesión?

Por ello, al terminar mi formación básica, opté por una educación humanística, adaptada a mis necesidades y con el siguiente recorrido:

- Bachillerato Humanístico (2009) y Prueba de Acceso a la Universidad (PAU) en España por la vía Humanística (2009).

- Grado en Lenguas y Literaturas Modernas (Modalidad bilingüe: inglés + español) por la Universidad de Barcelona (2013).

- Máster en Formación del Profesorado por la Universidad de Zaragoza (2014), máster pedagógico oficial requerido para la enseñanza, tanto secundaria como en academias, en España.

Paralelamente a mis estudios, inicié mi experiencia laboral en el ámbito educativo. Durante mi tiempo universitario, hice prácticas en un centro de educación secundaria y fue gracias a esa experiencia cuando me di cuenta de que, realmente, yo no disfrutaba con las clases en grupos grandes, sino en las clases individuales donde realmente puedo ofrecer una enseñanza de calidad individualizada y conectar con cada uno de mis estudiantes, ofreciendo un servicio de calidad a la vez que personalizado y adaptado a sus necesidades e intereses.

En el presente, estoy centrada en la enseñanza de español para extranjeros en clases particulares en línea. Tengo la maravillosa oportunidad de trabajar con estudiantes de cada rincón del mundo, todos ellos muy diversos -niños, adolescentes, adultos, estudiantes, profesionales, aficionados...- pero todos ellos con un denominador común: su pasión por mejorar su español día tras día, lo cual hace mi trabajo apasionante, a la vez que todo un reto.

Mi método de enseñanza depende única y exclusivamente de cada uno de mis alumnos: de su nivel, de sus objetivos, de sus necesidades, de sus gustos... Así pues, el alumno es el que marca el estilo, la organización y las características de sus clases desde la primera lección.

Sin embargo, me gusta guiar y aconsejar a mis estudiantes en su proceso de aprendizaje y, desde el primer día, intento ofrecer las herramientas necesarias: listas de vocabulario, materiales de gramática, actividades de lectura y audición, vídeos... Todo ello, para que el estudiante pueda empezar a practicar y a usar lo que está aprendiendo, no sólo memorizando gramática y vocabulario, sino viendo todo en contextos reales y teniendo que responder adecuadamente a los mismos.

Así, mis materiales y lecciones se adaptan a todos mis estudiantes. Por eso, en cuanto al perfil que debes tener como alumno, puedo asegurarte que no existe ningún tipo de límites: conocimientos previos, edad, tiempo para el estudio... Pues, como acabo de comentarte, mi programa de enseñanza se adaptará única y exclusivamente a tus necesidades.

Por último, me gustaría destacar mi experiencia en la preparación para exámenes oficiales como DELE, SIELE, GCSE y A levels.
