Detailed Profile in English

About me

Ciao a tutti, I'm Gloria, I'm 29 years old and currently living in London, UK.

I'm a certified teacher of Italian and a language enthusiast. I've been teaching Italian for several years now and my job is first and foremost a passion to me. Italian is my mother tongue, I speak English at a near-native level, I'm fluent in French and have a good knowledge of Spanish.

I've been teaching Italian for several years now. I started in a Primary school, where I taught children from different countries, like China, Syria, Egypt and Brazil. Successively, I started working in a language school in my home town, where I taught English and Italian to business people, both in group and 1-to-1 sessions. In parallel, I started teaching Italian online through Skype and eventually specialised in distance learning and playful didactics.

Teaching Approach

I believe communication is crucial when it comes to learning a foreign language. Being able to speak from the very beginning gives you the confidence and the motivation required to continue. This is why I encourage speaking from day one, whether it’s just a few words or full sentences. Plus, I keep my classes friendly, informal, but structured, with a lot of language games, humour and friendly chats to help you use Italian in your day-to-day life.
