My name is Eleni Koukopoulou, I am 33 years old and I live in Kalamata, Greece. I have been working as a Greek teacher since 2005. I have sufficient teaching experience to help students of all ages learn this amazing rich language. Since I love learning foreign languages myself I can feel the students' needs and difficulties during the learning process. I used to work in public schools but when I tried online teaching I must admit that I was excited. I gain a lot every day from this experience. I can communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds and this enriches my life.
I hold a Master's degree in "Education Leadership, Management and Emerging Technologies" from Guglielmo Marconi University in Italy. At university I studied distance learning and methodologies which I can implement in my lessons with students in Verbal Planet.
I have been teaching in primary, secondary and adult education so I know how to use the right methodology according to students' age, needs and background knowledge.
My teaching experience in adult education created in me the feeling of empathy and understanding of other people's difficulties during the learning process. For this reason I can detect my students' needs and facilitate language learning.
I have attended a great number of seminars on teaching methodology, learning styles, adult education and distance learning through which I improved my teaching methods.
My lessons focus on students' learning needs. During the first session I try to detect students' needs and previous knowledge in order to adjust my teaching method and materials. In any case communication and speaking practice is a priority. Also, I integrate listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar practice in each lesson so that my students will be able to study the Greek literature and discover the richness of it.
Greek is not such a difficult language as most people think as long as you learn it in the right way!
