Teaching Approach
The teaching approach I like to demonstrate is more of the student-centered approach. This means the teacher facilitates the students overall learning of the lesson. I like to asses whether the student is a visual, or auditory learner to best teach the lessons for a more productive outcome. I think it is important to listen to what the student needs in terms of overall comprehension of the lesson.
Communication is very important between teacher and student. Repetition is practiced throughout the lesson and questions are encouraged.
There are no mistakes as we are learning!
I am very flexible with whatever the student desires to learn; I plan around my students learning objectives.
Most of all, the lessons should be fun and exciting to maintain the students interest for them to better absorb the information. The key is for the student to not think they are learning; there should be a natural flow of communication between teacher and student.
