Hi! My name is Lucilla, I am 28 and I live in Ancona, a beautiful town on the Adriatic Sea. I have been teaching English and Italian for 4 years and I really enjoy getting to know my students, while helping them learn about the language and the culture. I believe the cultural exchange makes the language teaching/learning much more valuable and meaningful.

I believe that lessons have to be fun and relevant in order for you to learn and retain the information. This is why I use a COMMUNICATIVE METHOD, which means the classes will be interactive and maximise your talking time. grammar will be covered in context in order for you to have real life conversations, using natural language. This approach also helps building your confidence. We are going to have fun, focusing on your interests.

The materials used will be various: realia (everyday objects), activities, games, etc. All the materials will be shared via Skype or stored in a shared folder in Google Drive. If you want I can provide you with some extra activities to work on between classes.

LESSON STRUCTURE (example):

5 min - Warm up chat

20 min - Discussion based on a video / audio / reading / slide show

10 min - Grammar focus: including correcting your own mistakes

5 min - Lesson summary/Feedback

CONVERSATION CLASSES:

These are more informal classes, where you will be leading the conversation and I will provide guidance on the correct use of grammar as well as introducing/expanding the vocabulary.
