My name is Jean-Philippe. I was born in Paris in 1965. Now you can calculate my age! I've lived in Thailand since 1996 and started to teach French in this country at a university level in 1999.

I can speak English and Thai fluently. Apart from travelling and cooking, I love photography, music, poetry, languages, linguistics and philosophy. I am not a musician, but I like to play blues harp and jam with friends!

My concern for health and environment brought me to start the project of a pedagogical organic farm where kids will have the possibility to learn different languages in a natural environment. So I became a farmer ! But I am still a teacher, eager to share his passion for French language with learners of the world !

I was a student at Paris-Sorbonne University - Paris 4 and obtained 3 diplomas :

- a Master 1 in Contemporary Literature ;

- a Master 2 in French language ;

- a Doctorate in Linguistics ;

I started to teach as a French Lecturer in Thailand in 1999. I taught in three different universities and one secondary school :

- Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand (3 years) ;

- Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand (1 year) ;

- Naresuan university, Phitsanulok, Thailand (9 years) ;

- Naresuan Demonstration High School (2 years).

I was in charge of diverse subjects at the A1-B2 levels : General French, French for conversation, French for secretary, French for tourism, Note taking, Report writing, Translation Course (Thai to French), Introduction to linguistics...

In 2015, I became a Certified Examiner of the DELF French Language Proficiency Test.

At first, I will talk with you to identify your profile, goals and needs. To facilitate the communication, we'll talk in English (or in Thai).

In a second step, I will assess your level and define a work plan.

This work plan will enable you to develop the skills you wish to develop (Reading, Writing, Speaking and/or Listening) through progressive and well structured lessons. One of my priorities is to make you enjoy learning, so I will adapt my teaching materials to your areas of interest and to your learning style.

As a doctor in linguistics, I look at French language as a beautiful system, and one my greatest pleasure as a teacher is to make you understand how it works and how to use it.

The pronunciation, the vocabulary and the grammar of French language are an exciting world to explore.

As you explore it with me, this language world will become more and more familiar to you. It will become yours!

Je m'appelle Jean-Philippe. Je suis né à Paris en 1965. Maintenant, vous pouvez calculer mon âge !

Je vis en Thaïlande depuis 1996 et ai commencé à y enseigner au niveau universitaire en 1999.

Je peux parler anglais et thai couramment.

Outre le voyage et la cuisine, j'aime la photographie, la musique, la poésie, les langues, la linguistique et la philosophie.

Je ne suis pas musicien, mais j'adore jouer du blues à l'harmonica et faire le boeuf avec des amis !

Mon souci pour la santé et pour l'environment m'ont décidé à entreprendre un projet de ferme biologique pédagogique, où les enfants peuvent apprendre différentes langues dans un environnement naturel.

Je suis donc devenu paysan ! Mais bien sûr, je reste un professeur, désireux de partager sa passion pour la langue française avec des apprenants du monde entier !

En 2015, je suis devenu Correcteur-Examinateur Certifié du DELF A1-B2.

Pour commencer, je m'entretiendrai avec vous pour identifier votre profil, vos objectifs et vos besoins.

Afin de faciliter la conversation, nous parlerons en anglais ou en thai.

Dans un deuxième temps, j'évaluerai votre niveau et définirai un plan de travail.

Ce plan de travail vous permettra de développer les compétences que vous souhaitez acquérir (lire, écrire, écouter et/ou parler) au moyen de leçons progressives et structurées.

Une de mes priorités est que vous ayez plaisir à apprendre. C'est pourquoi je choisirai le matériel d'enseignement qui conviendra le mieux à vos pôles d'intérêt et à votre style d'apprentissage.

En tant que docteur en Linguistique, je regarde la langue française comme un magnifique système, et l'une de mes plus grandes satisfactions de professeur est de vous faire comprendre comment ce système fonctionne et comment l'utiliser.

La prononciation, le vocabulaire et la grammaire du français sont un monde passionnant à explorer.

En l'explorant avec moi, celui-ci vous deviendra de plus en plus familier. Il deviendra votre monde !
