Teaching Approach
Resources for teaching online are numerous and diverse from video, audio, visual, virtual whiteboards, articles, interactive presentations, and much more, I will use these categorized into speaking, reading, writing and listening as teaching tools.
I believe a balance is needed as all these above-mentioned skills need to be exercised to get the mind used to think and function in an English language context. For example, the mind is most engaged when doing writing exercises in a specific language so I will ensure my students do writing exercises to improve their writing skills, I will also incorporate roleplay to engage the more creative side of the brain.
For wholistic ESL learning to take place a balance has to be obtained and in my belief, this can only be done in accurately assessing the student's language learning needs, thus nurturing a student/teacher relationship is key. Resources for teaching online are numerous and diverse from video, audio, visual, virtual whiteboards, articles, interactive presentations, and much more, I will use these categorized into speaking, reading, writing and listening as teaching tools.
