I am 22 years old French professor. I live and work in Oxford at the moment: https://www.trinity.ox.ac.uk/people/profiles/julie-gustave/
Travelling is my passion. I've already been to Japan, Spain, England, Scotland and Swiss. I also plan on moving to Japan at some point.
I speak English fluently because I studied the language for 10 years, but also because I have been living in the UK for about 2 years.
I really enjoy watching anime and I am fond of Japanese TV shows and series.
If you like video games then we might get along very well!
Board games are also a huge part of my life, I love playing games, maybe we can play some together at some point?
I have a Bachelor's degree in teaching Foreign Languages.
I am currently writing my master's dissertation in order to get my diploma by the end of the year.
I used to teach French at a language cafe when I was studying at Sussex University.
I am now teaching French at Oxford University (at both Trinity College and St. Edmund Hall.) I teach translation from English to French, conversation, text analysis and essay writing.
My teaching approach will vary depending on your level of French. During the first lesson, we will see together what are your needs, what you would like to focus on and also your level of French.
If you are a beginner I will start with an introduction to French culture, teach you vocabulary and also what to say in a particular situation, for instance when ordering at a restaurant.
If you are more advanced I believe in learning through conversation and games. I usually take an article from the news or an interesting subject and we have a nice discussion about the subject in question. Sometimes I like to play games with my students, especially vocabulary games.
