Hi my name is Emi, I`m a native Portuguese - Brazil speaker from Rio de Janeiro currently living in Bournemouth, UK. I`m passionate about conversations, nature, good food and different cultures.

I`m a qualified language teacher and I`ve been helping lots of people improve their communication skills over the years, both online and in class.

My teaching approach is called TBL (Task Based Learning), it focus on the use of authentic language and on meaningful tasks using the target topic of the day. Unlike other methods, the students are free of language control and they must use all their language resources rather than just practicing one pre selected item. Based on that, a natural context is developed from the students` experience with the language that is personalised and relevant to them. It is a powerful communicating approach where students spend a lot of time communicating, it is very enjoyable and motivating, ideal if you are looking for improving your communication skills.
