Experienced CELTA qualified ESL teacher with with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching both young learners and adults. I'm a native English speaker who has been living and working in the Middle East and eastern Mediterranean for the past 20 years. I enjoying teaching both face to face and online with both groups and individuals.
I have been teaching English as a second language for the past 12 years - all levels - to groups, individuals, companies and individual business people. I specialise in teaching business English, reading and speaking skills. I fully appreciate the differing learning needs, learning styles, environments and objectives of each learner and therefore I choose to fit the learning method to the learner, and not the learner to the method.

There is no one single best methodology when it comes to ESL teaching. Rather, different methodologies are used depending on the level, learning needs, learning style, context, environment and objectives of the learner. This means choosing the techniques and activities that are appropriate for each particular task, context and learner, with a focus on motivation and helping learners become independent and inspired to learn more. You need to fit the method to the learner, not the learner to the method. .
Some of the approaches i use are communicative language teaching, content/task-based, natural approach, direct, grammar translation, TPR, situational language teaching, audio-lingual and CLIL.
