Hello there! First of all, thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my profile. My name is Annalisa and I'm Italian. I was born and grew up in the beautiful capital of Italy, Roma. Before becoming a professional teacher of Italian, I was a language student, therefore I understand the effort and the challenges that studying a foreign language implies. I studied English and Chinese for ten years, first in Italy, and then in China, where I also worked as a translator and a language teacher.

Apart from studying foreign languages (I dream of learning Hindi, Japanese, and Portuguese), I have more interests like photography, travels, Buddhist meditation, vegetarian cuisine, hiking, dancing and animals. I own two cats named Artù and Tigro. I traveled to many places in China, Thailand, the Philippines, and New Zealand. And, last but not least, I love trying new dishes. My best friends make me happy cooking for me!

I'm saving money to pursue the study of more languages and to travel to India and Africa.

My approach aims at letting the student develop a new communication skill in every class.

In the beginning, I want to understand what the student's targets are and get to know his/her interests and passions, in order to include them in the classes. During class, I use extracts from a few textbooks ( the student can also buy the textbook from the internet, but it's optional ), and I also use texts, audios and videos collected by me, taken from real life situations or tailor-made following the student's needs.

I create a friendly exchange with the students, leaving out judgements and marks, because learning a language is a natural and yet very personal process that can be helped, but never forced. I think that learning a language needs to be easy and fun, and this is the teacher's responsibility: to perform an interesting, relaxed, fun, and original class. I love to introduce all the interesting facts about Italians and Italian culture, the virtues and the lacks of my beloved home country.

In the beginning, I speak very very slowly and clear and can use English. As time goes by, I start using more and more words and expressions in Italian, to get the students used to the spoken language. I guarantee success, as it's happened to all of my students.

我的教学方法是让学生在每一堂课上都能培养一种新的沟通技巧。

最开始上课的时候，我会了解学生的学习目标是什么，了解他/她的兴趣和爱好，以便在课堂上与之互动。在上课过程中，我使用一些教科书摘录(学生也可自由选择是否从网络上购买相关教科书)，我也会使用我从真实的生活环境中获取收集的一些文本、音频和视频，或者根据学生的需要为他们量身定制教材。

我和学生们建立了友好的交流机制，不采用评判和评分方法。因为，学习一门语言是一种自然而又非常个性化的过程，可以在学习过程中得到帮助，但绝不是被迫学习。我认为，学习一门语言需要轻松和愉快，这是老师的责任所在：上一堂有趣、轻松、愉快和纯粹的课。

我喜欢介绍所有关于意大利和意大利文化的有趣事实，以及我所热爱的祖国的各种优缺利弊。最开始上课的时候，我会用英语缓慢又清晰的进行口头授课。随着时间的推移，我开始运用越来越多的意大利语单词和短语，让学生习惯用意大利语进行口语交流。
