Hello I'm Amira from Egypt. I graduated from Faculty of Education department of English and I've been good with languages all my life. I like socializing with people, learning and teaching new things, cooking, watching movies and spending time with my kids. I expect to spend a good time here on Verbalplanet as here we can have the chance to know new people and new cultures and i'm sure this will be fun.
I've graduated from faculty of Education, department of English so I do have a good experience in teaching and learning new languages. I've been teaching English as a second language in Azhar school in my country, and I've worked as a translator for sometime in a translation office and online. Also I've been successfully teaching Arabic as a second language on line for more than a year. Generally I have a passion for languages and I have good experience in teaching both Modern standard Arabic and Egyptian colloqiual dialect which is the most popular dialect in the Arab world. I've worked with my students on many text books according to their needs and demands or their study courses. I also use grammar books and add material to make sure the teaching process is not lacking. I can help you develop all your language skills, and I will help you to improve nicely with grammar. So if you need someone who can explain and introduce Arabic content and grammar to you in English then what you need exactly is me. If you have a certain text book and need a flexible person to work on it with you then I'm a good choice. And as a native speaker I'm sure I can help well with conversation practice.
Text books I worked on:
Arabic between your hands
Al kitab al Assassi
Kallimni Arabi Bishweash
Gate to Arabic part one
Gate to Arabic part two
And a combination of books for grammar and exercise and Quran. And I'm never tired of preparing lessons with other books on demand.
Deciding the method of teaching depends on you. I give you different options and you choose according to what you need. I use text books, grammar books, audio, scripts of TV shows, articles, clips from movies and whatever we see fit. So I use variety of approaches in teaching and I like and generally I'm a verry motivated and flexible person and I generally care so much to succeed in whatever I'm doing. so when someone comes to me needing something in particular I do search and get more material to concentrate on his special needs.
