My name is Judith and I've been teaching Spanish for the last 3 years. I studied a degree in History but I did an student exchange in Italy where I realized how much I love languages. When I came back I started a masters about teaching languages in High School and Adults. For that reason, I moved to USA to improve my English and I started to teach Spanish. I create a lot of games to deal with the "problems" when you are learning a new language.
I'm an energetic person and I love to talk and create classes where you learn without realizing that you are studying. I also love to travel, and when you go out from your comfort zone you realize how fun it is to how a new language.
I like going to the cinema but I'm more passionate about art and museums. I think that learning a language is much more than just the grammar, for that reason I'm trying to also teach a culture.
I've lived in Barcelona all my live and I work also as a teacher and I would like to try verbalplanet because I think that is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world at the same time as teaching my language.
I have a master degree in teaching and Languages in Young adults and adults. I've worked as a Spanish teacher in Spain and in the United States. I also work as a volunteer in a museum helping with the translation of documents or labels inside the museum.
In 2014 I started to teach private classes (one to one) and I really enjoyed it because it was a different kind of class. I taught different students, from 14 years old to adults. Also, I create a lot of games to learn vocabulary and activities to remember grammar or verbal tenses.
I like to teach with a lot of passion and dedication. I think that learn Spanish takes time but it can be a time that you really enjoy. When I'm teaching I'll not tell you to do homework in a worksheet but I'll ask you to maybe watch a short conference or a song that you really like. I think that learning a new language is a process of small thinks everyday and that practise is the key to success.
