My name is Eduardo. I grew up in Lima, the capital of Peru. I attended military school, business school, and received my credentials in English at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. I have also lived and worked in both the United States as well as the United Arab Emirates. I love to travel. I have had the opportunity to visit many countries all around the world. I also enjoy reading, going to the movies and exercising at the gym. My favorite food is Peruvian.
I have a 100-hour TEFL certificate. I have been teaching English for over 1 year. I've taught mostly in the United Arab Emirates. I have experience teaching all age categories, from age 5 to adults. I've taught with a wide variety of materials and over the years have picked out bits and pieces of each curriculum that I found the most useful and tried to carry them forward as I enhance and sharpen my teaching ability.
I believe the best results come when the students are enjoying themselves. So, I make lessons meaningful to each student and applicable to his or her interests. I teach with the goal in mind that my students will be able to use the English language effectively in a practical, real-world setting. Effective communication is more important than perfect grammar so I care more about being comfortable and confident with the language than memorizing grammar rules.
