I'm a language geek. I'm currently in the process of learning Turkish which is the 8th language I'm trying to tackle. So I know very well how challenging learning a new language can be, how blocked you can feel in speaking and all the other difficulties that come with learning another language. I'd like to help you overcome those challenges by helping you to feel confident and competent when speaking and using your new language. A language is more than the sum of its parts and is not just grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation etc. A language needs to be brought alive.

I'm quite passionate about languages and I'd love to transfer some of that passion on to you.

I'm a native Dutch speaker and a certified language teacher. I've been teaching (English and Dutch) for over 4 years in different countries. I've helped students, of different backgrounds, ages and levels prepare for official exams and have always had good results.

I've taught and lived in Italy, Spain and Palestine. At the moment I'm living in Genova, Italy where I'm teaching in the 'old school' way.

I have also been a language coach for refugees, when I was still living in the Netherlands.

In my approach my students are the center point around which I build a lesson plan. I don't have a fixed teaching style but I prefer to focus on the needs and learning style of each of my students. I use the first class to create an idea of what could work for you. Not everyone learns in the same way.

I firmly believe that it's very important that you as a student feel comfortable and that you're enjoying the class, it helps to familiarize you with the language you're learning. I think this is the main goal when you're learning a new language: you have to make it your own, not merely study it, but find a way to really connect with it. In my classes my focus is on that. So I do use grammar, but I'll try to explain it in a way that makes sense to you. And there's a big focus on conversation and natural pronunciation.

I have a lot of materials that I can share with you, so it's not necessary to buy materials or books, unless you really want to.

Soy holandesa y tengo mucha pasión por los idiomas. Hablo 7 idiomas y estoy aprendiendo un otro. Sé personalmente que tan dificil puede ser aprender un idioma extranjero y expresarse en ello. He vivido en muchos países y he aprendido a comunicar en muchos idiomas. Estas experiencas, además los años de enseñar, mi han ayudado a desarollar un método personal basado en la idea que para hablar un idiomo no es suficiente aprender solo el vocabulario y la gramática. Te puedo ayudar a superar todos los obstáculos que encuentras en aprender un nuevo idioma, porque los conozco muy bien.

Tengo 4 años de experienca como profesora de idiomas (inglés y holandés) en diferentes países, entre ellos también la España. Soy una profesora licenciada y tengo mucha experiencia con la preparación de examens oficiales.

No tengo un estilo fijo para enseñar, prefiero concentrarme en las necesidades de mis alumnos y el estilo de aprender de cada estudiante. Entonces aplico un enfoque muy individual. Uso la primera lección para crear una idea de lo que podría funcionar para ti. Porque no aprendemos todos en la misma manera.

Es muy importante para mi que te sientes cómodo y que disfrutas las lecciónes, porque ayuda a familiarizarte con el idioma que estás aprendiendo. Pienso que el gol principal es apropiarse del nuevo idioma, no solo estudiarlo, pero encontrar una manera para conectarse con ello. Uso la gramática, pero en un modo que tiene sentido para ti. El foco también está en la conversación y en la pronunciación natural.

Tengo mucho material que puedo compartir contigo, entonces no hace falta que compres un libro, a menos que tu lo quieras.

Sono una ragazza olandese che ha la passione per le lingue. Parlo 7 lingue e sto imparando l'ottava. So per esperienza personale quanto può essere difficile imparare ed esprimersi in una lingua straniera e per questo ho piena comprensione della posizione dell’allievo. Ho vissuto in parecchi paesi e ho imparato a comunicare in molte lingue. Queste esperienze, più gli anni in cui ho insegnato, mi hanno aiutato a sviluppare un personale metodo di insegnamento, basato sull'idea che per parlare una lingua non basta imparare vocabolario e grammatica.

Ho quattro anni di esperienza come insegnante di inglese e olandese. Sono una insgenante certificata con molta esperienza nella preparazione delle varie certificazioni, per esempio Cambridge, IELTS (inglese) e NT2 (olandese). Ho insegnato ad allievi di tutti livelli ed età.

I miei studenti sono al centro del mio approccio. Non ho un stile fisso, piùttosto preferisco focalizarmi sulle necessità dell'allievo e il suo modo di imparare. Non apprendiamo tutti nello stesso modo. La prima lezione serve per creare una idea di cosa potrebbe funzionare per te. Così col tuo feedback disegniamo un piano per le nostre lezioni.

Credo fortemente che sia molto importante che tu come studente ti senti al tuo agio durante la lezione, di conseguenza ti familiarizzi più veloce con la lingua. Secondo me lo scopo principale è appropriarsi e integrare la nuova lingua come parte di te. Uso la grammatica, ma in funzione che abbia senso per te. In generale mi focalizzo molto sulla conversazione e sulla pronuncia naturale.

Possiedo tanti materiali che condividerò con te, perciò non c'è bisogno di comprare materiali o libri, a meno che tu non voglia.
