About me - English
Hello everyone!
My name is Mateusz and I am a teacher of Polish as a foreign language. I am a native speaker of the Polish language. I also speak English and understand some Russian. I graduated from the BA studies at the Jagiellonian University on the Polish language in social communication. I have also graduated from English philology. Now I am a final year student of Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
I am currently working as a Polish language teacher at the University of Oslo. I teach beginner groups (A1-A2) and intermediate groups (B1-B2).
I've been teaching Polish for 3 years. I teach online at all levels (A1-C2).
I did a student internships at a language school, and also worked at a language school, where I had the opportunity to conduct language classes and extracurricular workshops for foreigners learning Polish.

Teaching Approach
In my Polish language lessons I use, above all, the communication method in teaching Polish as a foreign language. I prepare my own didactic materials based on the Polish Language Teaching Programs as a Foreign Language (developed by the Jagiellonian University team). I adapt teaching materials to the language proficiency levels of my students according to the CEFR scale.
In Polish language classes, I try to adapt teaching materials to the needs and capabilities of my students. I put emphasis on developing all language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing in Polish. I show my students that Polish grammar is not difficult, but it is necessary to develop language skills. I teach grammar and vocabulary through varied exercises based on popular language textbooks used in Polish language courses.
I try to show my students that learning Polish can be pleasant and effective.
