About me - English

Hello.

My name is Daria and I'm a Russian tutor.

I've been working as a Russian, English and French tutor for 4 years.

I've just finished my contract as a Russian teaching assistant in France. It was a great experience, which helped me to become more experienced and confident.

I think my greatest success as a teacher is one of my students, who told me "Daria, I want to be a Russian teacher".

I invite you to my lessons, which I can call "From Russia, with love".

Qualifications & Experience

I studied at the University of Kaliningrad, Russia (Bachelor of linguistics) in 2018.

2015 - 2019 I did private tutoring.

June 2018 - April 2019 I've worked as a Russian, English and French tutor online.

October 2018 - April 2019 Russian teacher assistant in Tours, France.

I've also worked as an English tutor in Serbia and in a language club in Russia.

Teaching Approach

Every lesson is unique. I try to make every class useful and interesting.

There are some important components of learning Russian:

1. Speaking

Here we should, first of all, decide why you want to learn Russian. If you need some general language, I'll chose general topics for discussing, if it's business, we'll use other types of expressions and situations. While you speak, I always write down your mistakes in a Google Document, so that you always have access to it.

2. Listening

As a native speaker, I don't need any textbooks for listening, I invent exercises myself. Here we should listen without a text, then with a text and then try to read ourselves and memorize important words, expressions and grammar structures.

3. Writing

I prefer checking writing after the class and then sending the student a document with the remarks.

4. Reading

Here we work on pronunciation and tones.

As for grammar, I use some textbooks, but also my own exercises that I make based on my teaching experience.
