Hi. I am a native Vietnamese with more than 20 years of studying English.

As a freelance translator and editor for Cactus and Jobs for Editing (JFE) - two companies that provide editing services, I have gained profound experience in, of course, how to edit medical texts. For me, the job of an editor seems more amazing than any others. I play with words and sentence structures creatively. You can say I have become addicted to editing. Most importantly, I have trained myself to always meet deadlines, to be persistent in what I am in charge of or assigned to do, and to be constantly full of energy and inspiration.

Before working for Cactus and JFE, I have also worked freelance.

I have two classes at home with four adult students whom I help with English pronunciation, as well as listening, speaking, and basic writing skills. In the coming time, say one month, I am launching my own online English tutoring program.

I graduated from Hanoi University of Science in 2004 and Hanoi University of Public Health in 2013.

I majored in Biology and Public Health. Vietnamese is the official language used in these two courses. I also attended several short training courses in the English language. In addition, I have a teaching certificate provided by the University of Pedagogy, Vietnam National University in Hanoi for teaching high school and university students.

As an English language tutor, I first inspire my students to study English with not only joy and laughter but also with other emotions.

"The English language is a vivid entity, so love it, have a passion for it, and be crazy about it. It will love you back sooner or later."

That is what I always say to my students.

I always aim to make my students enjoy learning English with games and creative activities. For me, each learner is a special individual, and therefore he or she needs to be motivated in a unique way. My presence as a tutor is to help him or her to define which styles of learning he or she needs to take. In other words, we work together to explore the beauty of the English language.

One more thing about my teaching approach is that the learning methods need to be simple, but effective.

Tôi là biên tập và biên dịch tiếng Anh tự do, có hơn 15 kinh nghiệm về dịch thuật,

tập trung chủ yếu trong ngành Y tế công cộng.

Ngoài làm công việc vừa nêu, tôi còn thích dạy tiếng Anh và các ngôn ngữ khác nhau.

Hiện tại, tôi đang dạy phát âm tiếng Anh, nghe và nói tại nhà.

Lý do tôi thích dạy học trực tuyến là tôi rất muốn gặp gỡ và giúp đỡ mọi người.

Cuốn sách tôi thích đọc là Inventing Joy của tác giả Joy Mangano.

Bà là người truyền sức mạnh cho tôi trong việc sáng tạo liên quan đến dạy và học suốt đời.

Tôi tốt nghiệp 2 chuyên ngành: Sinh học (cử nhân) và Y tế công cộng (thạc sĩ).

Về kinh nghiệm làm gia sư, tôi đã dạy, nhưng gián đoạn, 17-18 năm rồi.

Với tôi, mỗi người học là một cá nhân đặc biệt, cần được khám phá.Do đó, cách học phải là riêng cho người đó.

Tôi đề ra mục tiêu rõ ràng cần đạt cho người học, tất nhiên là phải thông qua bàn bạc với người học.

Ngoài ra, tôi nghĩ người dạy là người khám phá khả năng, thiên hướng, phong cách học của người học

và là người truyền cảm hứng, truyền động lực cho người học, chứ không phải là người cầm tay chỉ việc.

Người học là trung tâm và cần được trải nghiệm nhiều trong quá trình học tập.

Người dạy dẫn dắt người học qua hành trình khám phá để đạt mục tiêu học tập.

Học là quan sát, là chiêm nghiệm, là đưa ra giả thuyết, đi đến kết luận tạm thời, rồi kiểm chứng bằng thí nghiệm,

và đưa ra kết luận, và tiếp tục kiểm chứng. Học khoa học hay ngoại ngữ, hay nghệ thuật, gì cũng vậy.

Tất cả tựu chung lại, học là quá trình khám phá chính bản thân và hạnh phúc.
