Marie is a delightful person with a lot to say. The whole lesson was a listening exercise.

Hon är kul att prata med! She gave good homework, and then we worked on it for the class. Two thumbs up:)

Marie is so nice and I always look forward for a class with her. She has a great way of teaching and also gives a lot of helpful materials. Highly recommend!
I have worked as a teacher in Swedish and social sciences - and also as a teacher in Swedish as a foreign language for many years. And before that I was a preschool teacher😀
My students would indeed say I’m a good and very engaged and positive teacher - and I have a Google Classroom, where I can hand out any kind of material, mostly made by myself: grammar, classical texts rewritten for easy reading, articles with questions, wordlists and questions about short films, emails to answer, material to listen to - and also free material from different sources. Everything from beginner to advanced learner.
Swedish is my first language and my English is quite okay. I do also understand a bit of German and Italian. My spoken Swedish is more or less flawless. My vocabulary is without limits - and I don’t speak too fast (even if I can speed up). Grammar and knowledge about modern (and ancient) Swedish, how it changes and how you use certain expressions today - are important. Many books are not updated - but I am.
I have a lot of interests, as movies, series (in many genres), literature from Shakespeare, The Bronte sisters, Dostoyevsky, Selma Lagerlof - to Harry Potter, fantasy/urban fantasy and biographies - (as Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover - which was really gripping), art, architecture, environmental issues - and of course: meeting people.

PS: I use Meet instead of Skype - as we will work with google classroom. I’ll send you a link with your email - and you just say yes. If you don’t have a gmail-address - Skype will work as well. DS

Teaching Approach
I am:
-an enthusiastic and positive teacher.
-very responsive and I can adapt my teaching to your needs. I can also correct any written work with comments (at the level you wish).
-used to work with different resources such as Google Classroom and whatever you need.
-offering you “coffee with conversation” - which means you either can come to the garden of my home in central Stockholm, or meet for a cup of coffee at a café with outside seating - and talk IRL. The “outside-thing” is mostly due to covid-19, but still nice.
