About me - English
I am Anna, I live in Rome and I teach the Italian language to foreign people in several private schools.
My passion for the study of languages started a few years ago, when I was in Japan to learn Japanese. Since then, this passion has never abandoned me and represents a motivational driver for my job.
I'm native speaker with a clear and neutral accent. I graduated from the University of Rome, I have a teacher qualification certificate (Ditals II) and I have been teaching Italian since 2009.
I am a professional teacher, careful, creative and enthusiastic. I really love my job and I also love learning languages!
Qualifications & Experience
I have been working with students coming from several parts of the world, with teenagers, adults, missionaries, business women and men and college students. I taught them, but I also learned a lot from them.
From 2009 to 2015 I worked for different private schools in Rome: British Institute, Italiaidea, The language stage, Cornell University
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is based on communication, and my starting point is always the need of the student, his/her interests, and passions.
My lessons are not only based on grammar and lexicon, but also on the Italian culture. I try to stimulate my student using original newspaper material, video and audio documents, in order to create a dynamic, involved, and fun experience!
My lessons have no restriction regarding the subjects, we could focus on everyday topics (hobbies, travel, family, work) as well as on academic subjects, based on the student needs. Before the start of the lesson, I will provide a grammar worksheet related to the specific topic.
