I'm Katie, and I’m from Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.

In my free time, I love listening to music, watching movies and TV series, singing, cooking and travelling. I really love visiting new places, learning about new cultures and trying local cuisine! I love meeting new people too, which is why I love being a teacher. I also adore animals, I have a very cute dog called Benji!

I moved home last year after living in Valencia, Spain for three years. I loved it there because the lifestyle is very relaxed and the weather is always amazing!

I am looking forward to meeting new students and helping them achieve their goals.

I've been teaching English for over 7 years. In those 7 years, I have taught English to all different age groups and all levels.

I have plenty of experience teaching and preparing students for their English exams, from listening and reading to writing and speaking. (Cambridge and IELTS)

I have received lots of excellent feedback from my various students throughout the years.

I have over 8 years of experience teaching English to all levels from beginner to advanced, and to students from many different countries.

I have lived and taught English in China, Vietnam and Spain and Ireland. I love teaching English because I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. However, what I love the most about teaching is watching my students' confidence grow and helping them achieve their goals.

I have plenty of experience teaching general English classes, conversation classes and also exam preparation. I've prepared many students for IETLS, PET, FCE and CAE exams and have a lot of experience in this area. I encourage, motivate and challenge my students in every class.

My classes are fun, dynamic and practical with lots of speaking and error correction so my students are constantly engaged and improving their accuracy. Lessons with me involve lots of speaking, such as giving opinions on various topics, role-plays and presentations to improve fluency and confidence when using English. I love using authentic materials in lessons, such as articles, videos etc as I feel that this allows the language to come alive and show students how English is used in everyday life.

I also include games and quizzes in lessons, as learning a language is much easier when you are having fun!
