About me - English
I have been a professional teacher/ tutor since September, 2002, and, more specifically, an EFL/ESL English teacher (based in Asia, primarily Thailand) for over FOURTEEN YEARS, since May, 2007. Overall, I have been a teacher and a tutor, including being an IT Tutor in the UK, previously, and an English teacher overseas, for almost NINETEEN YEARS in total.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a BA in Education (BA-ED), a Certificate in Education (CERT-ED, or PCET, PGCE equivalent), UK College certification in teaching adult learners, and the full 120 hour TESOL qualification, in teaching English. I also have many other training certificates besides my major teaching qualifications.
Teaching Approach
My teaching methodology is professional, step-by-step, and wholly flexible according to the individual student's own goals, wishes, and learning needs.
Corrections, preferably with the student prompted towards self-correction, should be regular, but also positive.
I also believe that there should be aspects of the learning which should entertain the student and keep the student interested and so much better engaged in the learning.
My informal style of teaching, I believe is conducive to this, and smiles and asking questions are certainly encouraged.
