I live in a small apartment in the northwest of Tokyo, Japan. I'm married, with two daughters and two cats. When I have free time, I enjoy cycling, taking photographs, watching movies, reading, current affairs, and learning languages (right now I'm studying Esperanto). I'm interested in just about anything. Oh, and I'm a pretty good cook.

I have a BA in English & American Literature, and a teaching diploma in Adult Education. I have also completed Masters level courses in Language Teaching and Distance Education. I've spent the last 33 years teaching English. My students have ranged from 4 to 80 years in age, and from beginners to experts in skill. I have taught in junior schools, high schools, private institutions, and universities. My longest experience has been in universities teaching Test Preparation (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, EIKEN), Writing, and Presentation Skills. But I also teach Conversation, Listening, and song lyrics.
