My name is Alessandra, I'm a 29 year old Italian native speaker and teacher.
I'm an enthusiastic and curious person, I like to travel and to learn from different cultures and experiences.
In my free time, I read, ride my bicycle and hike the mountains with some friends.
I was born in Torino, in north west of Italy, and I actually live in a small town close to the city, nearer to nature and mountains.
Here I also host Italian language students with a home tuition project since one year.
May 2016-April 2017: Regional Librarian qualification (Casa di Carità Arti e Mestieri-Torino)
August 2015: home tuition project for Italian language students
December 2015-nowadays: Faculty of Literature, MA Degree in Philology (University of Piemonte Orientale)
Since June 2014: Italian tutor on Verbalplanet
September 2013-June 2014: Italian teacher for librarians in North Bohemian Regional Library of Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic).
December 2013: Academic Post-Degree Specialization Course in Children's Literature (University of Padova).
July 2013: attainment of DITALS Certificate (Didattica dell'Italiano Lingua Seconda) to teach Italian to foreigners (University of Siena)

I'm friendly, patient and professional.
I always try to make my students feel comfortable, conducting my lessons in a relaxing and interesting way.
I generally lead my lessons as much as possible in Italian, supporting and facilitating in this way the new linguistic input.
I always ask my students what their motivation and language goals are.
I prepare personalized lesson plans, aligning them with the aims of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
After each lesson, I use to send homework, exercises and linguistic material by email.
Great first lesson! Alessandra is very flexible to adapt the lesson to focus on what is needed. She is very positive and encouraging.
