About me - English
My name is Marcela Azevedo, I am 31 years old and I was born in the state of São Paulo in Brazil.
I lived for eight years in the historical city Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais and now I live in Rio de Janeiro, the "cidade maravilhosa". I love teaching, reading, going to the cinema and activities in nature.
I have been teaching Portuguese for 7 years now and I love what I do. Currently, I offer a free initial trial class for new students.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a degree in Portuguese Language at the Federal University of Ouro Preto.
I have taught Portuguese for 7 years and Portuguese as a foreign language for three years. I have taught in schools, language courses and classes in companies. I have experience teaching Portuguese for business and I have given lessons to students of all nationalities and ages.
Teaching Approach
I teach all levels and for students with different goals. Use books, exercise books, audio material and own stuff done for me. My classes are focused on conversation and try to cover all the skills: speaking, reading, listening and writing. I can teach using English as a medium of instruction, I can work from home using a reliable internet connection (+ a quite environment) and I have experience in teaching adults.
Meu nome é Marcela Azevedo, tenho 31 anos e sou do interior de São Paulo. Durante a minha universidade, morei por 8 anos em Minas Gerais e agora moro no Rio de Janeiro, a "cidade maravilhosa". Adoro ensinar, ler, ir ao cinema e atividades na natureza. Já ensino Português há 7 anos e sou apaixonada pelo que faço. Atualmente, ofereço uma aula experimental inicial gratuita para novos alunos.

Sou formada em Letras - Habilitação em Língua Portuguesa na Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto. Tenho ensinado Português por 7 anos e Português como Língua Estrangeira por 3 anos. Já ensinei em escolas, cursos de línguas e com aulas in company. Tenho experiência ensinando português para negócios e já dei aula para estudantes de todas as nacionalidades e idades.
Teaching Approach
Eu ensino para todos os níveis e para alunos com objetivos diversos. Uso livros, livros de exercícios, material de áudio e material próprio feito por mim. Minhas aulas são voltadas para a conversação e tento abranger todas as habilidades: conversação, leitura, escuta e escrita. Eu posso ensinar usando o Inglês como meio de instrução, posso trabalhar em casa usando uma conexão de internet confiável (+ um ambiente tranquilo) e tenho experiência no ensino de adultos.
