About me - English
I am Rania. I am a native Arabic speaker. I live and work in Egypt. I teach both Arabic and English.
I love reading. I read both English and Arabic books. This helps me to understand other cultures and styles of life. I do have a great respect for other people's beliefs and different ways of thinking. I look at differences between people as something magnificent rather than a reason for hatred. I entered the career of teaching Arabic as a foreign language, not only because I adore Arabic, which is a fact, but also to be able to interact with people of different cultures which will teach me a lot.
Qualifications & Experience
I have been teaching for 8 years for young and adult learners
I have a Diploma in Methodology from Alexandria University.
I have a bachelor's degree in language and literature from the same university.
I am currently taking a TAFL (teaching Arabic as a foreign language) certificate from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport.
I have IELTS and TOEFL certificates.
I am currently taking a TEFL (teaching English as foreign language) certificate from Notting Hill.
Teaching Approach
Students' learning styles are not the same. That's why my teaching approach is very responsive to the different needs of the learners. So I always adapt my teaching to best suit what the learner needs. I also believe that the main purpose of learning a foreign language is to be able to communicate effectively using that language ,after all, what's the use of learning separate words and structures of a particular language without being able to express yourself in that language? So I help learners to talk as much as possible and express themselves in Arabic. I also expose them to Arabic videos spoken by native speakers to help them in their speaking and pronunciation skills. I also refer them to some Arabic stories to help them acquire new Arabic vocabulary and help them in Arabic writing.
