About me - English
I am a 30-something, widely-traveled and experienced English teacher. My interests include reading all sorts of novels from sci-fi to historical fiction. I am an avid sports fan with a particular love for the English Premier League and cricket. I also love travelling. I love nothing more than to arrive in a strange city with my bag on my back ready to explore. And I love music, from playing to going to summer music festivals dressed in costume.
My wife is Azerbaijani and we live, together with our two children, in Germany. We both love it here, the culture, the activities on offer and, occasionally, the food.
Qualifications & Experience
I'm a highly-qualified UK English language teacher with an MA in Applied Linguistics from a UK university. I have been teaching for 13 years. I have taught throughout Asia and Europe and currently teach at a prestigious university in a large European city. In the past, I was an IELTS examiner for the British Council and I have been CELTA-trained since 2005.

Teaching Approach
I adopt the conversation approach for my online lessons as I feel this medium is conducive to it. All materials which form the basis of our lessons will be provided before the lesson starts and require some preparation.
I will correct you but not to such a degree as to disrupt fluency. I will only interrupt you when whatever you say causes confusion or misunderstanding; the rest of your mistakes will be examined at the end of the lesson.
The materials will be based on your needs and expectations. During the first lesson we will talk in detail about what you want from the course and I will periodically check your needs through the course to ensure your complete happiness and satisfaction.
