Qualifications & Experience
B.A. English and German
MBA International Business
I taught at a language school in Germany for three years. I have taught many trainees and business professionals. The majority of my classes were between 2-10 learners and I have also taught many one to one courses I enjoy doing different things everyday and helping people to improve their English language skills.
Teaching Approach
As a student of the German language and having experienced German in a college classroom in America versus actually living in Germany, I found the most optimal way to learn a language is to just speak the language. My German Professor in college said that you have to struggle with the language in order to get better at it. I definitely struggled with the German language and I have taken these experiences and have applied it to new learners of the English language.
My teaching approach is more focused on speaking than anything. While there is a time to learn grammar, reading and writing, up and foremost it is important to listen to how words are pronounced and to engage the learners in continuous speaking. The more you speak the better you will be. This can be applied to many aspects in your life and as long as you remain consistent with what you want to achieve then you will be successful.
