About me - English
Hello! My name is Tanya and I'm 28 years old and I live in Zaporozhye, Ukraine. I have worked as a teacher for about 6 years. Russian and Ukrainian are my native languages and I'm fluent in English.
Since my childhood I've had a dream to teach, so now I'm doing it and I'm enjoying! I'm good at listening, I'm very progressive, goal-oriented, responsible and opened for new knowledge. As a teacher I am very patient, I don't get nervous if my student does not understand something. I always try to find an individual way to make studying English easier for my student. I guess the best prize for a teacher is seeing how the student is getting better and better, more and more confident in a foreign language with every lesson.
Qualifications & Experience
I'm a native Russian-Ukrainian speaker. At the moment I work as an English teacher and I have been working for about 6 years. I teach English of any age category and my students have a really good result. I'm quite experienced in teaching Russian for foreigners, I have had an experience with students from Holland, Switzerland and Germany. I have 9-years experience in English translation.
I have Master degree in English teaching
At the moment I am doing IELTS courses, my aim is 8 score in this test. My next goal is getting TESOL certificate. Before teaching I have done lots of translations, I have helped to translate different conversational topics, articles, documents, websites.
Teaching Approach
Well, I think a teacher and a student is a team. I always try to find an individual approach to each student, everyone needs something different. I have to admit that I do not care if you make mistakes while you are talking, I can even say that it is good, because this way you learn how to speak! And of course I correct the mistakes. People usually feel shy about it, but you won't get rid of the mistake if you keep silent.
I do my best to make my lessons enjoyable and interesting, my way of teaching is quite efficient and understandable for the students. I use different books Oxford, Cambridge, Pearson Longman.
I also practice with native English speakers not to loose my own knowledge. I guess a real teacher is a person who learns new things too! My proudest moment is when I see that a student who I used to teach now teaches too!
