I live in Edinburgh - Scotland - and work the Edinburgh School of English as English teacher. I trained in London in 2014 and since then I have worked in one of the best boarding schools as ESL teacher and as EFL teacher both in the UK and Italy. I have taught presessional courses for university students in China and have extensive experience with students from all over the world.
As a young enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible person, I can encourage and motivate people to achieve. I'm a qualified EFL teacher, I enjoy being creative and using my drama skills to inspire and create my classes. I communicate very well at all levels and ages.
I have travelled extensively and I really enjoy meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. Languages have always been my passion, together with theatre and acting which are my main interests and have also been a job. Music is another great passion, I used to sing in a rock band and went to singing lessons for years.

First, I ask the student to do a placement test and write me a letter introducing themselves and explaining their motivation to improve their English. I usually follow with a quick interview that gives me an idea of the student's speaking skills and their needs. I then create a plan based on what the student wants to achieve and what I think they will need to get there. The criteria I use are simple: I try to meet the student's interests as much as I can by tailor-making materials and activities accordingly.
In online classes I obviously focus on speaking skills (accuracy, fluency, pronunciation, intonation) and give homework if necessary, especially with IELTS and Cambridge preparation.
