Hello, students! My name is Georgiana, and I am an English teacher from the United States.
When I was a teenager, I enrolled in a summer course to learn Japanese, and since then I have had a love for anything having to do with languages. I have also studied Arabic, German, and Spanish. I was amazed to learn how these languages, along with many others, have influenced English!
I also enjoy reading (it helps you to learn grammar!), listening to almost every type of music, and visiting museums.
Over 7 years of ESL/ESOL teaching experience.
Taught in college IEP programs, which focused on preparing students with academic English skills.
M.S. in TESOL from an accredited institution.
Experienced in providing one-on-one, individualized ESL/ESOL instruction.
While I like to make learning fun, I am also serious about making sure that my students receive what they need in order to be successful. It is important for an English teacher to know what students' goals and intentions are for learning the language.
Reading is an important part of learning any language; if you take lessons with me, I will incorporate some form of reading into the session.
That said, I enjoy learning from my students as much as they enjoy learning from me! I want to know about your life experiences, interests, and goals so that I can create lessons that will help you to get the most out of learning English.
