Hello, my name is Swaraj Prasad and I'm an experienced native Hindi language tutor currently living in India. I have been teaching Hindi online since 2016. I am currently offering a free initial trial lesson for new students.
About me - English

I am a native Hindi speaker and fluent in English. Currently, I am living in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), India. I am an experimental Hindi language trainer with many ideas. My class is very smooth, simple and relaxed. Very easy to understand my methodology. I am keen in listening to students' problems. I am a keen observer of students' difficulties and able to rectify them. I have been associated with Hindi language training for the last five years.

Besides, I am a prolific reader of a wide range of literature. I am a Hindi writer and poet. A collection of Hindi poems is published and a collection of Hindi stories is in the press and soon to be published. I have also studied science and bioinformatics in post-graduation.

My aim is to enhance the Hindi literature to the forefront of world canvas. I am keen to interact with different people of different parts of the world. This will help me to understand better their culture and literature. Hindi is widely spoken in all over India. So, learning Hindi will help to better understand Indian culture.

Qualifications & Experience

I have earned bachelor’s degree in Hindi from Bangalore University, India. Besides, I also study Hindi as a subject in Master’s degree. I traveled all over the India. Every state has its own language. During bachelor's and master's, I taught Hindi to non-native Hindi speakers of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. These five years have been full of adventures of learning, exploring and interacting with a wide range of people.

After completion of my studies in South India, I came back to North India. I started teaching online Hindi to foreigners for the last two years. So, I have a total seven years of teaching experience in the Hindi language. Last year, I established one institute in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), India. The institute name is ''Easy to speak the Hindi language''. The institute is for those people who came here for a job and other purposes and unable to speak the Hindi language.

Teaching Approach

Whenever I am teaching Hindi to non-naive speakers, I will not let them to learn a pile of vocabulary and a set of grammar rules. My teaching style is unique and I have made 25 essential conversational topics. After the completion of each topic, I will give you a set of vocabulary and grammar used in that conversation topics. Besides, I will send you other teaching resources by mail. After the completion of 25 conversational topics, you can speak fluent English. I will assume it will take 40-45 days time to speak Hindi. After that, I will deal with special rules of genders in Hindi. In Hindi, everything either living or non-living either male or female. So, you need to know the techniques how to speak correct genders in Hindi.

Reading is also important aspect of learning Hindi. If you want to read Hindi, then you need to know the consonants and vowels alphabets in Hindi. How to pronounce and read coherently. Reading will help you to read a lot of signboards or billboards on shops, restaurants, buses, etc. You will no need to ask other persons to ask what is written in Hindi here.

I personally think that without the knowledge of writing, any language is incomplete. Because creativity comes only from writing. When you write something on different language, your brain is inclined to rehearse plenty of words and grammar rules to form a sentence or a one complete paragraph. So, in the long run, if you wish to write Hindi too, I will teach you in the next level after learning speaking and reading.

Teaching resources: I have self-made sets of vocabulary as, common fruits, common vegetables, common food items, stationery items, relations, pronouns, numbers, colors, question words, most common adjectives and adverbs. After giving a set of vocabulary chart, I have made conversation chart by using same words. I have made sets of conversation lists such as, how to ask anybody to any address, direction or destination, how to deal with a local shop, how to purchase vegetables, how to ask tourist locations from tourist advisor, how to ask inquiries to a bus station, railway station, and airport.

I use an online virtual whiteboard, screen sharing tools where we can share the screens, whatever I am explaining to my laptop, it will come to your laptop. If you are having difficulties to pronounce any word, then I will help you via face to face, or by showing an image or by video. Lip movement, tongue movement, joining of upper teeth to the lower lip and other movements are nicely dealt with by me.

After the speaking schedule, the next schedule is reading. Reading Hindi alphabets is an easy task. First, I will teach you basic Hindi vowels and consonants, then in the next section, I will teach combinations of Hindi vowels and consonants. If anybody highly interested in writing, then after completion of speaking and reading schedules, writing is taking care of. Combinations of Hindi vowels and consonants are essential to writing. First, I will give two, three and four letter words to write and then higher complex words to write.
