Hello, language friend!
Thank you for your curiosity about other cultures. I am Gia, a cheerful native Romanian tutor. I started giving in-person lessons in 2014 while living in Spain and now I focus on creating and delivering online engaging Romanian lessons.
Since I studied other languages myself (English, Spanish, French, and German) I can understand the challenges a student experiences.
One of my favorite things about teaching is interacting with people all over the world and getting to understand other cultures.
In my spare time, I read, listen to podcasts or exercise. My interests span multiple fields including psychology, arts, and science.
My love for languages and literature started quite early.
While studying the Philology Program in high school, I frequently participated in Poetry and Creative Writing competitions. At university, I studied Sociology then a Visual Arts Master degree from the University of Bucharest.
My teaching journey started in 2014, after receiving a short, intensive TEFL training in Spain. During the years I interacted with students from all over the world: USA, England, France, Austria, Brasil, Switzerland, Norway, which I am really grateful for.
I have experience conducting scheduled online and in-person classes with students of various levels and age, also writing semester report cards assessing students' progress.

We conduct conversations on different topics, such as current events, food, science or we can insist on grammar, it really depends on the goal and level of the student.
In general, I assign homework and encourage listening and reading practice outside of the lessons.
