My name is Trevva Robinson. I'm 41 years old. I live in Kings Bay Georgia in the United States. I am a professional one on one ESL teacher. I have taught over 500 students and over 600 customized sessions. My students range from children as young as 6 to adults over 60 years old from various countries around the world. I help students learn by building rapport and understanding their learning style and needs. My approach to teaching English is conversation based. Establishing a level of comfort is essential to keeping a student engaged. Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and proper usage of the language all become a natural part of the conversation and the learning is simple, effective and fun.

. I really enjoy travel and learning about other cultures and foods.I love sports like basketball and soccer as well as movies and all kinds of music. I make jewelry as a hobby. Education is is about understanding that the roles of teacher and student constantly shift. The opportunity to help people learn and learn from them as well makes teaching my passion!

I am currently a full-time ESL tutor. I have over 10 years of experience in providing private education (elementary, middle, and high school level) in individual and group settings. I taught for 9 years (K-8th) in a home school. For 3 years as Program Manager In a group home setting, I served as substitute teacher in the on campus school. Daily tutoring was provided to residents on an as needed basis.

I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I am currently pursuing TEFL certification and enrolled to begin an additional degree in Education with a focus on on-line learning.

I believe learning should always be fun and exciting. Speaking often with a native speaker is the best way to learn any language. In my experience, a focus on building vocabulary and grammar through the use of conversation about common situations is most efficient. Reading, writing and phonics are all incorporated into the flow of the conversation in the form of corrections and a variety of exercises and worksheets. Using visual aids , like pictures, flash cards and household objects, and real life, everyday scenarios with personal stories makes the student feel involved. Once they are comfortable talking, the learner is ready and able to receive instruction toward full fluency.
