About me - English

English is my passion and my life.

I have been teaching English at international and national schools in the UAE for almost 12 years. This experience has provided me with a great opportunity to teach students with different ethics, cultures, nationalities and background.

I have 6 years of experience teaching at American schools, 2 years at British schools and almost 4 years at Arabic ( national curriculum). I prefer to work with adults and teenagers, however, it would be a great opportunity to work with kids. Most of my experience is with middle and high school students and university students.

I can teach Arabic to non-native speakers along with English as a Second Language. I am very professional in developing your writing skills and fluent enough to inspire you to speak fluent English without an accent. My feedback will always enhance your skills and guide you to the mastery of your literacy skills.

Qualifications & Experience

In terms of my qualification, I have a Bachelor Degree in Art, Specialized in English Language and literature.

I graduated in 2007-2008 with an overall average of 61.23 ( good ).

I have also got a 7 in IELTS Exam and 1850 out of 2000 in EMSAT.

Teaching Approach

English is a communicative language, it is not math or chemistry to be taught by rules. In other words, rote learning styles are no more effective ,therefore, I use the communicative approach because that would help students to move from learning to acquisition smoothly. Deduction and induction approaches could be used as well when needed.

Links to life, culture , interests along with critical thinking to keep the students engaged in the lesson are also another technique which can be utilized. Games, drilling, and projects ( short or long) can be an effective ways to efficient engagement.

All in all, each student is a different and anonymous quantity that needs to be gradually discovered and then wisely addressed with the right approach that fits them.
