good lesson after not having a lesson with Eleni in some time. We had to go back over some stuff to make sure i was ready for the next chapter which was very helpful.
Hello everyone, I am Eleni and I come from Greece. It has always been a pleasure for me to communicate with different people from all over the world. When I was a student, I had participated at ERASMUS program in Portugal, which I totally enjoyed. It was one of the strongest experience in my life. In general, I am a funny and sociable person.
Qualifications & Experience
I got my Bachelor's Degree in School of Philosophy at University of Crete in 2003. Since then, I've been successfully teaching Modern Greek to Greek pupils of all levels. I started teaching Greek Language and History to adult foreigners on January 2011 and I must say it is very interesting experience so far. So, that's why I am here. I believe I can help someone to get started with Greek and go on and on... :)
I would also like to mention that I have participated in several seminars on Special education and Counselling/Psychotherapy, which have helped improve myself and my teaching methods.
Teaching Approach
I am always open to my pupils' suggestions and I try to organize the learning session, according to their own needs and level. I use as much material as I can, in order to make the lesson enjoyable and interesting. I tend to emphasize on details, which can be helpful for people who seriously want to get involved with Greek. I try to speak Greek as much as possible, during the classes, because I believe it is the most effective way for someone to learn Greek easily and fastly, even if they don't speak a single word before the classes. In the end, I believe in the interaction between tutor and student. Learning is adynamic and experientlal procedure for both of them.
